The London World Peace Flame is a solar-powered light shining down onto a carved map of the world in the Peace Garden of KIngsley Hall Community Centre in East London, which was established in 1928 by the Lester sisters and is where Mahatma Gandhi stayed in 1931. The Peace Flame was inaugurated on 2nd October 2018, on the International Day of Non-violence and the anniversary of Gandhi’s birthday.
