The teaching materials boxes are being distributed to 200 primary schools in the Netherlands with more than 10 refugee children. The boxes contain materials for use by teachers to help refugee children gain language skills and in dealing with traumas. The \u2018Peace in your hands\u2019 educational pack from the WPF Foundation is part of these teaching materials boxes, along with classroom workbooks, guides to learning Dutch and picture books. The \u2018Peace in your hands\u2019 pack was added to the teaching materials boxes because it is considered to be beneficial for children\u2019s social and emotional development: finding peace within yourself, and building peace, respect and tolerance in the class.<\/p>\n<p>The contents of the teaching materials boxes were defined in consultation with teachers and school managers who already have experience in working with refugee children.
