Free Medical Camps & Eye Clinics
“To see the joy in someone’s face when the bandages are removed from their eyes and they can see again is the most wonderful experience you could have.”
Thakor Patel
Over 40,000 patients have received free medical care in the poorest communities in Gujarat, India. Volunteer medical professionals—including surgeons, doctors, nurses and dentists—give their time and expertise freely, serving everyone irrespective of creed.
Well over 3,500 cataract operations have been performed and 10,000 pairs of free spectacles given.
Educational Support
Many children in impoverished countries do not have what they need to go to school, so they don’t get the education they deserve.
The WPF Foundation has distributed over 16,000 education kits (pens, paper, books etc) and also school uniforms, so that more children can go to school.
Plus, the charity has covered the cost of education fees for over 200 children to train as nurses.
