U.N. International Meditation Day

On 21 December 2025, the first International Meditation Day was marked with a special event in Leeds.

To celebrate this meaningful occasion, the Leeds Brahma Kumaris held a meditation gathering in which the World Peace Flame played a central role. The Flame was used to light all the candles for the event—symbolising the sharing of peace, stillness, and collective intention.

This simple yet powerful act reflected the essence of both meditation and the World Peace Flame: creating space for inner calm while extending that peace outward into the world.

Events like these highlight the versatility of the World Peace Flame as a unifying symbol—bringing together communities, traditions, and practices in a shared commitment to peace.
