Paying Peace Forward: Garforth Peace Project Supports Local School

In September 2025, the Garforth Peace Project continued their inspiring Paying Peace Forward initiative—sharing the message of peace in practical and meaningful ways within their community.

As part of this project, they presented St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School in Garforth with a beautifully handcrafted World Peace Flame Lamp. Created by skilled wood maker Duncan McBride, the lamp is battery operated with the option to be converted to solar power, making it both versatile and sustainable.

The intention behind the gift is simple yet powerful: to provide a focal point within the school where pupils and staff can come together, reflect, and find peaceful ways to resolve situations. It offers a gentle reminder that peace can begin in everyday moments.
