8th Garforth Annual Peace Lantern Walk

On 8 November 2025, the 8th Garforth Annual Peace Lantern Walk brought the community together for an evening of reflection, remembrance, and unity.

Organised by the Garforth Peace Project, the event created a peaceful and welcoming space where lanterns illuminated the path—symbolising hope and a shared commitment to peace.

The evening included thoughtful reflections on Remembrance Week and the importance of peace in today’s world. Among these, we were especially moved by the heartfelt words shared by one of the local school children—a powerful reminder of the enduring relevance of peace for future generations.
