World Peace Flame Lamp Presented at St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School

We would like to sincerely thank St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School in Garforth for welcoming the Garforth Peace Project to deliver another Assembly for Peace.

It is a pleasure to see the continuation of the Paying Peace Forward project, sharing the message of the World Peace Flame with pupils and staff. As part of this initiative, the Garforth Peace Project presented the school with a handcrafted World Peace Flame Lamp, created by skilled wood maker Duncan McBride. The lamp is battery operated, with the option to be converted to solar power, making it both practical and sustainable.

The intention behind this gift is to provide a focal point within the school—a gentle and meaningful reminder to encourage calm reflection, promote understanding, and support the peaceful resolution of situations.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff and children for their warm welcome and engagement. It is through these shared moments that the message of peace continues to grow.
